The next step in style! Now you can have a western style holster for your replica or real weapon with a decorative etched brass plate. Like the standard "Wild West Holster" it's available in both a long and short barrel option. The long barrel holster will fit 1851 Navy replica revolvers up to 10" long from the trigger guard to the end of the barrel. The short holster will fit replica revolvers under 6.5" from the trigger guard to the end of the barrel such as the Colt 45 Peacemaker. The holster is made from 8-9oz veg tan leather, and finished with your color choice. The holster is a 1 piece design that is folded over in 2 places (once along the barrel to make the holster, and once at the top, making the backing loop) like many holster design of the period. Instead of using the strap and buckle system to hold the belt fold over, I've designed a wide strap to allow the etched brass plate to be riveted on. The strap affixes in the back with 2 screw posts to allow the holster to be used on slot style belt (by removing and replacing the screw post). This design allows the decorative additions to be affixed without having any rivets in contact with holstered weapons to cause possible scratching. The long barrel design will still have 1 buckle and strap on the lower section with the upper buckle being replaced by the new brass plate. Both come with a leather lace which ties around the leg to keep the holster from "flopping around" while walking if desired. Works with the Western Gun Belt!
