The ladies' version of a spatterdasher, or spat. They became wildly popular to wear at the turn of the 20th Century, although there is plenty of evidence that they were being worn before 1850. Whether you just want to look the part, or you want to cover up your well-fitting but modern shoe, these spats are just the thing. These spats differ from a gaiter because they are patterned with a lady's leg in mind, so the shape is much slimmer through the ankle, and the shape over the foot is more delicate. These are meant to be worn with a shoe or a form fitting boot. All sizes measure 11 3/4" tall overall, with the ankle to calf height being 7". Made from organic cotton canvas with matching trim, leather instep strap with buckle and button closures.
Sizes: Measure your calf to select the best size. Half sizes should order the whole size smaller, i.e. 16 1/2" should order size 16. Sizes for larger calves or ankles can be special ordered, so please contact us: email@example.com
