The duster was one of the most commonly worn overcoats in the late 19th Century, since it kept the dust and other elements off your clothing. It became the archetypal coat of the American West, and we closely associate it with cowboys, the law man and outlaws. Traditional materials used to make these coats varied from linen to oilcloth. We're offering them in both the canvas blend and a summer cloth blend. The basic coat has patch pockets, button front, and a hidden button back vent to allow you to wear it with ease while riding. Sizing is generous, since these coats were traditionally worn over a suit or jacket. If you plan to wear this as your only jacket, you may want to order a size down (extremely broad shoulders or musculature should not order a size down). Measure comfortably around the fullest part of your chest to get your size: XS= 30-32, S= 34-36, M= 38-40, L= 42-44, XL= 46-48, XXL= 50-52
Coming soon: a la carte style upgrades to the basic duster so you can style your own, including: cape, gun slits for ease in faster shooting, button pocket flaps, sleeve tabs to keep the dust out, collar tab to close up the collar against the weather.
